About the event

The Well Virtual Retreat Center Presents

Let Me In: Conversations with your Self - Through meditation, music, abstract art, and movement, students will learn to process their emotions using the principles of the mind-body connection. In doing so, students are empowered to tap into their inner wisdom in order to flow from a place of peace and ease. This process will draw a relationship between the layers of our emotions and the layers of the painting. We begin with grounding meditation to guide what is released onto the canvas. Then, we select our colors and use music to identify the emotions within that are calling to be released. Here we use a combination of yoga, dance, and mindfulness to surrender what is no longer needed. Abstract expressionism allows us to follow our hearts and leave it all on the canvas. We will journal to provide closure, leaving the unwanted emotions in the container we’ve created. We close with meditation and stillness. The end result is a piece of art that represents the courage of your journey while serving as a regenerative balm. It is my intention to help people see creative expression as a means of engineering liberation and personal medicine as inspired by their cultural lineage.
